These terms govern your use of the Saalo mobile application ("the App") operated by Saalo ("we," "our," "us"). By using the App, you agree to these terms.
Saalo is an app that tracks the time you intentionally spend away from your phone. The App allows you to set daily goals, record phone-free sessions, schedule clearing windows, and optionally connect third-party wellness services to correlate your phone-free time with health data.
You create an account using your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining access to your phone number and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
You agree to use the App for its intended purpose. You will not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the service. You will not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
Saalo provides general wellness information based on your phone-free time and, if you connect Oura, correlations with sleep and readiness data. This information is for personal awareness only. It is not medical advice. Do not use Saalo data to make medical decisions. Consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
The Saalo Box is a physical product sold separately. If you join the Gen 2 waitlist through the App, we will notify you when it becomes available. Joining the waitlist does not constitute a purchase or binding commitment. Box purchases, when available, are governed by separate sale terms.
The App may integrate with third-party services such as Oura. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
The App, its design, content, and the Saalo brand are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
We aim to keep the App available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
The App is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, if any.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends. You may request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes through the App.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
